Asthma clinic

For patients who are due an annual asthma review.

Please would you answer the questions on this online form and submit it to us.

If your symptoms are deteriorating or you have any concerns, please make an appointment to the respiratory nurse or a doctor as well.

Baby clinic

A Baby Clinic is held on a Tuesday afternoon by our practice nurse for childhood immunisations to include primary immunisation, pre-school boosters, MMR etc. by scheduled appointment from the child health computer section of NHS Ashton, Leigh & Wigan.

A Baby Clinic is also held by Doctor on a Tuesday / Thursday afternoon for 6 week baby checks and postnatal examination – appointments for this clinic are scheduled by the practice upon notification of the birth of the child.

Cervical smears

Cervical smears are undertaken by prior appointment with the practice nurse at a time convenient to the patient on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday.

Chronic disease management

Chronic disease management appointments are offered to all patients on the disease register.  Patients are invited annually according to their birth month.  Eligible patients will be notified by post.

Minor surgery clinic

A minor surgery clinic is run by both GP and practice nurse in the Minor Operating Theatre by scheduled appointment 11:30 -12:30. All patients are listed by the GP for surgical procedures such as removal of skin tags, excision of mole / warts, incision & drainage of abscess etc. All patients are consented prior to surgical procedure and all procedures are done under local anaesthetic.

Travel health clinic

Travel health clinics are undertaken by prior appointment with the practice Nurse at a time convenient to the patient Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday.
